Transfer of Courses
Courses in the University Transfer programs at Robeson Community college are equivalent to the courses offered at four-year colleges and universities. RCC students who complete an Associate in Arts, Associate in Science, or Associate in Teacher Preparation Degree at RCC will be able to transfer those credits through guaranteed statewide agreements.

Special Transfer Agreements with Universities
In addition to statewide transfer agreements with public and private universities and colleges, RCC offers specific transfer partnerships for students who earn an associate degree at RCC prior to transfer. RCC graduates may enroll with junior standing and take advantage of additional advising, activities, and scholarships available through the partnerships below.

Transfer to UNCP

RCC students who complete a two-year AAS degree in the following programs can transfer credits to UNCP under special transfer agreements:

Robeson Community College partners with ECU in the Pirate Promise Transfer Program, which allows students in their first year of college special benefits, such as guaranteed admission with a completed associates degree, early access to special ECU advising and financial aid assistance, and many connections to the university.
RCC Programs Eligible for Pirate Promise
Are you interested in becoming a teacher in elementary grades, middle grades, or special education? ECU offers Partnership Teach, a program for community college students who want to complete a teaching degree online.
Robeson Community College graduates have access to multiple special transfer agreements maintained with NC State University.

NC State Wolfpack Connect is available to students who have 30 credits or less and who plan to enter specific majors at NC State.

If Wolfpack Connect is not the right option for you, NC State also offers C3, a competitive program for students in their first year of a transfer program at a community college. Students in C3 who complete the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree at RCC will be guaranteed admission to NC State. (Some majors have additional admission requirements.)

Students interested in attending North Carolina Wesleyan University should apply to Wesleyan Works, a program which allows transfer of the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree OR any two-year Associate in Applied Science degree. Many of NCWU’s programs are available online.

Students interested in transferring to UNCW after completion of an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree should join UNCW Pathways for access to special benefits, advising, and a guaranteed scholarship in their first semester at UNCW.
The Carolina Student Transfer Excellence Program (C-STEP) is a competitive, guaranteed admission partnership between Robeson Community College and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

C-STEP identifies talented students early at RCC and mentors them as they complete the associate’s degree and transfer as a junior to UNC-Chapel Hill.
Participating in C-STEP means having two advisors, one at RCC and one at UNC-Chapel Hill, and participating in activities to develop a connection with the Tar Heel community. Robeson Community College students who participate in the program are guaranteed eventual admission to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill provided they complete the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree and maintain a minimum cumulative G.P.A. above 3.2.

RCC students intending to complete an Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degree who plan to attend Appalachian State should be a part of Aspire Appalachian to receive early benefits, expert advising, and guaranteed admission to the university.

WCU Connect offers RCC students who plan to complete a degree guaranteed acceptance if they are part of the program and maintain at least a 2.5 GPA. Other benefits include special advising, a bookstore discount, and access to special opportunities on WCU’s campus.
Robeson Community College students in the Associate in Arts or Associate in Science degrees who desire to attend Methodist University are offered guaranteed admission and other special benefits, such as:
- Eligibility for the University Online Community College Partner Scholarship, which is available only to students graduating from partnering community colleges such as RCC
- Early access to on-campus courses at Methodist University at the community college tuition rate while still enrolled at RCC
- Special advising for MU programs and access to the MU library
RCC students admitted to LMC will receive academic merit scholarships that range in amounts up to and including 60% off LMC annual tuition based on GPA. These merit scholarships are guaranteed for the duration of the student’s stay at LMC, provided the student remains in good academic standing.
- All RCC students must fill out the LMC application for admission and the application fee will be waived.
- Credit is automatically given for all courses completed with a C or better that articulate to a LMC program of study.
- Students apply during the second semester of their sophomore year at RCC.
- Students must have a 2.2 GPA up to a 3.0 GPA minimum at RCC depending on the LMC program of study.
