RCC honors its Board of Trustees with holiday meal prepared by culinary students
Robeson Community College recently honored its Board of Trustees members and guests with an exquisite 5-star holiday dinner prepared exclusively by culinary arts students.
The meal included shrimp and grits, as an appetizer, with Cajun etoufee. The main entree consisted of a slow roasted beef on top of delicious, garlic whipped mashed potatoes with a side of vegetable melody. Banana Pudding Crème Brûlée with a vanilla wafter crust was served as the desert, with dollops of toasted meringue and whipped cream served on the side.
“We are so thankful for our Board of Trustee Members,” stated Executive Vice President Eric Freeman. “They serve our college and our community and continue to help lead Robeson Community College into greatness.”
“We wish our Board of Trustees a Happy Holiday Season,” stated RCC President Melissa Singler. “We hope they enjoyed the dinner by our top-notch culinary arts students. We look forward to working together to achieve excellence and increase student success in 2025.”
The dinner followed a board meeting and was met with praise and gratitude by trustee members, who enjoyed the food and time to fellowship with one another. The event was organized by Courtney Jacobs, the executive administrative assistant to the President and Board of Trustees.
