Network Accounts for Employees

Robeson Community College provides network accounts to all employees. A network account allows employees to log in to RCC computer workstations and laptops, access RCC email, Self-Service, and Support resources, and save documents securely to network locations or RCC OneDrive.

First-Time Login Experience

The first time an employee logs in, there may be a brief delay while system directories and profiles are created. This process typically takes 3 to 4 minutes, but in some cases may take slightly longer. Please allow the system time to complete this setup.

Network Account Login Process

Username

For employees, the username is created using the first initial of the first name followed by the last name. If a duplicate exists, a unique username will be assigned.

Example:

Bruce Wayne → bwayne

Initial Password Format

The default initial password for all employees is created using the following format:

First initial of first name capitalized

First initial of last name lowercase

Last six digits of Social Security Number

Suffix: _RCCemp!

Example:

Employee Name: Bruce Wayne

SSN: 123-45-6789

Password: Bw456789_RCCemp!

Password Change and MFA Enrollment

After your first successful login, you will be prompted to enroll in Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA). This step is required.

Once MFA enrollment is complete, you may change or reset your password by visiting:

https://password.robeson.edu

Passwords expire every year. To avoid account lockouts, employees are strongly encouraged to complete MFA enrollment and ensure their contact information is up to date so they can reset their password when needed.

Important Security Note

Employees may register their mobile phone during MFA enrollment. This allows RCC to send notifications related to password expiration and account security.
