Robeson Community College’s Detention Officer Certification Course (DOCC) prepares you for a career in corrections by providing the essential training required by the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission. In just a few weeks, you’ll gain the knowledge and hands-on skills needed to work safely and effectively in a county jail or detention facility. Successful completion leads to state certification as a detention officer in North Carolina.

All forms are need prior to admission into the DOCC program. The entire packet is available for pickup in the Law Enforcement Training Center in Building 11 on the main campus of Robeson Community College.
REQUIRED:
DOCC School Application
F-1 Medical History Statement
F-2 Medical Examination Report
F-3 Personal History Statement
Birth Certificate (Must be US Resident)
High School Transcript or Diploma/GED
Copy of DD-214 for military Veterans
IF NOT EMPLOYED BY AN AGENCY:
All Documents listed above; and
Criminal Record Checks from ALL state’s and counties resided in since age 16
