Win awesome prizes and more at RCC’s FAFSA Day – This Saturday!

Robeson Community College is upping the ante for its 2024 FAFSA day, which will be held this Saturday, January 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

 In addition to possibly winning a scholarship to attend Robeson Community College, the college has announced that it will give out free $10 Chick-fil-A gift cards to the first 25 guests to arrive. 

 More awesome prizes you might win – one of four $25 gift cards to Food Lion, a $100 gift card, and a Bluetooth speaker.

 And, if you’re a current student at Robeson Community College, and you attend FAFSA day, you could possibly win one of two laptop computers that is up for grabs this weekend.

 “It has never been more important to complete the FAFSA than now,” stated RCC President Melissa Singler. “With the opportunity to possibly receive at least $3000 through the new NEXT NC Scholarship program for households making under $80,000, every student needs to complete the FAFSA and they need to complete it accurately.”

 “We will be here ready to assist anyone that walks through our doors on Saturday, please come out and let us help you secure financial aid for your future,” Singler said.

 The FAFSA is the one form that can unlock access to federal, state, and local aid. It is also used for merit-based scholarships and continuing education funding.

 A Spanish interpreter will be on-site ready to assist, and also for those who have children, a supervised kids’ corner/color station will be available complete with coloring books, reading books, and a television.

 The event is open to the public and will take place on the main campus in Lumberton in Building 13.
