Trustees take Oath of Office; Stockton re-elected as Chair

During the Board of Trustees meeting held on Monday, July 11 at Robeson Community College, three Board Members were re-appointed and were administered the oath of office by Courtney Jacobs, Executive Assistant to the President and a registered notary public for the State of North Carolina.

The trustees that were reappointed were Kyle Chavis, Audrey Hunt and Virgil Hutchinson. The trustees also voted to reelect Shirley Stockton (pictured to the right) as the board’s chairperson and Kyle Chavis as vice-chair for 2022-2023.

Kyle Chavis was appointed by Gov. Cooper to serve on the Board.

Virgil Hutchinson is an appointee of the Board of Education for the Public Schools of Robeson County.

Audrey Hunt was appointed by the Robeson County Board of Commissioners.
