Register now for Winter Session at RCC, get a class free
Robeson Community College is gearing up for its 4-week Winter Session and has a special promotion to help kick it off.
For a limited time only, students can get one class for free during RCC’s Winter Session.
“Hurry! Don’t get left out in the cold,” an ad for Winter Session at Robeson Community College reads, alerting individuals to register as soon as possible in order to take advantage of the free class offer. The promotion covers in-state tuition, fees, and the textbook required for one 4-week curriculum class, at 100% of the cost.
The promotion will be available for interested students until funding is exhausted.
“This will be our second year offering 4-week classes in December,” said Melissa Singler, President of Robeson Community College. “We wanted to raise awareness of our winter session and also offer a great opportunity to those that are interested in obtaining college credit over the holiday season and fast-forward to the next step.”
Winter Session at Robeson Community College runs from December 1 to December 30 and features 14 completely online classes that students can register for including:
- Art Appreciation
- General Biology I
- Chemistry Concepts
- Public Speaking
- Principles of Microeconomics
- Writing and Inquiry
- Writing/Research in the Disc
- World Civilizations I
- Statistical Methods I
- Precalculus Algebra
- Fit and Well for Life
- General Psychology
- Developmental Psych
- Introduction to Sociology
Students in Robeson County attending 4-year colleges and universities are welcome to attend and can apply for admissions as a special credit student. Once classes are completed, the student can then transfer the credit back to their home institution.
“We welcome students that are attending college and coming home for the holidays,” said Singler. “If you have a child that is currently living away at college, please tell them about this opportunity that is available at RCC.”
