RCC’s Nursing Students give back this holiday season
Robeson Community College’s nursing students took time from their studies and busy schedules to give back to senior citizens this December.
The students volunteered to help with the senior food distribution in Robeson County, putting together boxes of food for distribution and bags with care items such as hand sanitizer. They then stood outside to give out those items to those in need. Some even drove forklifts to get the boxes to where they needed to be.
“Our nursing students are learning how to specialize in patient care,” stated RCC President Melissa Singler. “This is just one example of how these students are making a difference in the lives of others by giving of their time and their talents, providing care and bringing joy to others during the holiday season.”
The students participated on both Friday and Saturday mornings during the distribution held earlier this month.
