RCC to celebrate Read Across America Week
Robeson Community College will join millions across the United States in celebrating Read Across America Week, March 3 through March 7, with a host of themed dress up days and fun events for students, faculty and staff to enjoy.
The celebration will be hosted by RCC’s Education Department in honor of Dr. Seuss, one of the most beloved authors of all time, in recognition of his birthday. The work of Dr. Seuss continues to instill the love of reading in children across the world, which has brought joy to many hearts and increased the imagination in the minds of youngsters everywhere, and most likely has led to many of the innovations we know and love today.
Throughout the week, students, faculty, and staff will visit local schools and childcare facilities to read to children. Additionally, Robeson Community College will have surprise pop-up readers visiting on-campus classes.
