
RCC to celebrate its 3rd Annual Homecoming Week Oct. 28-Nov. 1

RCC is set to welcome home alumni, friends, family, students, faculty and staff to its 3rd Annual Homecoming Week October 28 to November 1 as they seek to continue to educate, elevate, and dominate student success. The week will include many activities open to the community and will feature a different food truck stationed on campus each day of the week.
Spooky Monday, October 28
The week starts off with Spooky Monday, with everyone encouraged to wear their best Halloween shirt. There will be a scavenger hunt that will begin for students which will continue throughout the week. Instructions will be sent via email to the student account. A fall door decorating contest for faculty and staff will begin with winners being announced at the end of the week. Students can enjoy sidewalk art from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., and the Student Government Association will host its Annual Boo Bash Drive Thru event from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. SGA will also host ‘Campaigning Day’ for those running for office, voting will begin at 10:00 a.m. and continue through the end of day on Tuesday. McNeill’s Food Truck will be serving up Robeson County’s favorite dishes during lunch hours.

RCC Tuesday, October 29
It’s RCC Spirit Day on Tuesday, so wear your blue and green. Bring copies of your resume and dress for the success as the day will begin with the headlining Better Skills, Better Jobs Career Expo from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Students will have an opportunity to try their hands at pumpkin painting, and there will be a RCC program showcase, all happening from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. While you’re here, stop by and grab a bite to eat from Hunt’s Food Truck. Voting ends, so be sure that you cast your ballot for the next SGA President by 5:00 p.m.

Sports Fun Wednesday, October 30
Get in the game by wearing your favorite sports team gear on Wednesday. The day will feature inflatables which will include Make It or Take it, Obstacle Course, and Carribbean Dry Slide from 10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. in the Student Center. Get ready for coffee and donuts as Traveling Tom’s Coffee Truck will be on campus serving up delicious beverages and there will also be a Mini Donuts Food Truck on site. SGA will announce election results at 10:00 a.m. Blood Connections will also be on campus hosting a blood drive from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Give blood, receive $50 in donations.

Halloween Day Thursday, October 31
On Halloween, what better way to celebrate than by wearing your best costume! RCC hopes to see many ghosts and goblins making their way across campus and invites all students to join in the Student Costume Contest at 11:00 a.m. in the Student Center. Also, be sure to check out the drunk driving simulation that will be available on campus from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in honor of Red Ribbon Week, a time to raise awareness about the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse and the dangers of driving under the influence. A food truck will be on campus, but will be announced the day of – is it a trick or a treat? You’ll have to wait to find out.

Registration Friday, November 1
‘Rock Your Mocs’ as it’s the first day of Native American Heritage Month! It’s also the first day Spring 2025 registration opens! So be sure to register for upcoming classes that begin in January to get your best class schedule. The student center will transform into Game Central and SGA will be serving popcorn and Icees. The winner of the Fall Door competition will be announced. Scavenger hunt ends.
