Nursing Students Give Back in South Lumberton
RCC nursing students, dressed in their RCC blue, spent their time last Friday and Saturday lending a hand at the 11th Annual Senior Citizen Sharing and Caring Event.
The students were instrumental in filling and distributing over 500 grocery and gift bags, which left an indelible mark on the South Lumberton community and their Senior Citizens. In the words of NC Representative Charles Graham and community outreach representatives from Southeastern Health, the event would not have gone as smoothly without the RCC Nursing students.
“We are so proud of how the Nursing students eagerly volunteered and represented RCC during the two-day event,” said Eva Meekins, Director of Nursing at RCC.
