Locklear re-appointed to NC Advisory Group

Rudy Locklear, the director of the Criminal Justice program and Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy at Robeson Community College, was recently re-appointed to the NC Criminal Justice Training Standards Commission School Directors Advisory Group for the 2022-2023 academic year. Locklear was first appointed to serve on the commission in October 2022.

The North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission is dedicated to meeting the multitude needs of the criminal justice system.

“I am pleased to welcome back some of our excellent School Directors and welcome some new members to this group of exceptional School Directors,” wrote Michelle Schilling, deputy director of the North Carolina Criminal Justice Standards Division, in an email to new appointees. “This group has a great reputation for engaging in important discussions that affect our entire School Director community… my staff and I are excited to work with you as we strive to identify solutions and opportunities…”

Locklear also serves as the Lumbee Tribe’s New District 7 Tribal Councilman, a position he was sworn into this past May.
