Hundreds attend RCC’s University Transfer Fair

Hundreds of students poured into the Student Center at RCC for the annual University Transfer Fair today. The event hosted 19 recruiters from colleges and universities located all across North Carolina. Students could be seen touring with excitement, as they learned about the various opportunities available beyond the doors of Robeson Community College.

“This is cool, I can’t believe that Chapel Hill is here!” one student cheered as she walked up to the UNC table. “I’ve always wanted to be a Tarheel.”

“I’m here to see which colleges have a bachelor of science program in nursing,” stated an associate degree nursing student. “After I complete RCC, I want to work towards becoming a nurse practitioner, but I haven’t decided where I am going to go, it’s nice to know I have options.”

Another student floating through the fair could be heard talking to the recruiter saying, “I would love to transfer, get my bachelor’s and master’s degree in education. I want to become a teacher.”
