Give blood, receive $60 in rewards July 20

In times of crisis, blood donations become the lifeline of those in need. With many people travelling for the summer, giving from blood donors has declined, putting a strain on an already fragile supply.

That’s why Robeson Community College is hosting a ‘Save Our Summer Blood Drive” with The Blood Connection (TBC) on July 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the Student Center, Building 13.

“Blood donations are critically and urgently needed,” stated Tiffany Dietz, the account manager for The Blood Connections. “We generally maintain a 5-day supply of blood products for our hospital partners. We currently have less than a 1-day supply to meet the hospital patient needs in the Carolinas.”

As an incentive, all donors will receive $60 in rewards for their donation.
