COVID-19 and Flu Vaccination Clinic to be held September 15

Robeson Community College would like to remind everyone that it will host a joint COVID-19 and flu vaccination clinic on September 15, 2021 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“This will be an opportunity for everyone in Robeson County and the surrounding areas to knock out COVID-19 and the flu,” said RCC President Melissa Singler. “We urge everyone to get vaccinated so that they can stay healthy and protect their loved ones against these viruses.”

The clinic is being offered in partnership with Walgreens and will take place in the Student Center, Building 13 in the Boost Room. The clinic is open to students, faculty, staff and the general public.

The COVID-19 vaccination is free to everyone. The FDA approved Pfizer vaccine will be administered. Walk-ins are welcome, however appointments can be made by visiting  https://wagsoutreach.com/ss/ROB496270.

Individuals who received their first shot of the Pfizer vaccine during the August 18 clinic at RCC, will be able to get their second dose on September 15 as well. If for some reason individuals who attended on August 18 are unable to get the second dose at RCC on September 15, they can visit any Walgreens to become fully vaccinated.

The flu shot is free with most insurance.

If an individual’s insurance does not cover the costs for the flu shot, or if someone does not have insurance, the cost will be as follows:

  • Standard Dose, for those 65 and under, will cost $31.50
  • High-Dose Flu shot, typically given to those 65 years or older, will cost $62.00.

This is a discounted cash price rate available through Walgreens.

To schedule an appointment to receive the flu shot, please visit this website: https://wagsoutreach.com/ss/ROB094215. Walk-ins are also welcome.

Robeson Community College is designated as a White House and Department of Education COVID-19 Vaccine Champion College and has assisted in getting more than 200 individuals vaccinated through its on-campus vaccine clinics since March 2021.
