Meet Melvin Morris, local artist to discuss his art, the local art gallery, and the inspiration for his art creations.



Friday, February 23 – Black Voices: A Celebration of African American Literature and Art
RCC Library

Explore a showcase of different African American authors, poets, artists, etc. who broke barriers in a Westernized society.
We will shine the light on these African American voices and read different passages, poems, and excerpts from the authors of the past and present.

Wednesday, February 28 – RCC Early College presents Black History
2pm – 3pm
ADL Auditorium, Building 15
The event is free and open to the public
Join the RCC Early College as they celebrate Black History Month, highlighting the endeavors of African-American Figures in Robeson County

Thursday, February 29 – Black History Program
The Reason Why I Sing!
Guest Speaker: Pastor Kelvin L. Barnes, Sandy Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Lumberton
The event is free and open to the public
