Company matches Giving Tuesday donations at RCC in memory of Trooper Kevin Conner

The RCC Foundation is pleased to announce that a donor, The Right of Way Group, LLC of Lumberton, has agreed to match all donations made on Giving Tuesday up to $1000.

The matched giving donation is being made in honor of Trooper Kevin Conner, who was shot and killed in the line of duty in Columbus County three years ago. Conner left behind his wife Miranda and two children, Briley and Braxson.

“We are so thankful for this partnership with The Right of Way Group in matching our donations on Giving Tuesday and for it to be in honor of Trooper Conner,” said Jessica Bullard, director of the RCC Foundation. “This will allow all of our donations on Giving Tuesday, up to $1000, to have a double impact upon Robeson Community College students, and it will allow Trooper Conner’s memory to live on.”

Donations can be dropped off at the Foundation Office in Building 2, made online at robeson.edu or mailed to the RCC Foundation at 5160 Fayetteville Road, PO Box 1420, Lumberton, NC  28360.

Donations can also be made through the Facebook.

By giving through the Robeson Community College Facebook page on Giving Tuesday, donors can potentially triple the impact of their donations to the RCC Foundation.

Facebook has announced that its company will match donations given during Giving Tuesday on its platform to charities, up to the first $2 million dollars, and will match 10% after that point up to $8 million in donations received.

“We appreciate every gift that we receive,” said Bullard. “It’s all about our students and we hope that our community will consider giving the gift of education on Giving Tuesday.”
