University Transfer
Your path to earning a college degree may begin with Robeson Community College, but we hope it’s only the beginning. The University Transfer Program at Robeson Community College is designed to introduce students to the collegiate environment and, more importantly, to assist students in developing the communication, critical thinking, and analytical skills necessary to succeed in college. Our goal is to make the transition from the community college to the four-year institution as smooth as possible. Through University Transfer, students are able to earn either an Associate in Arts degree (AA) that focuses on humanities and fine arts or an Associate in Science (AS) degree that focuses on sciences and mathematics. Both degrees are comprised of 60-61 credit hours; these degrees may be completed in two years if students enroll and complete at least 15 credit hours per semester.
Associates of Arts
Our Arts program is designed to strengthen students’ background in the humanities and fine arts. Students who earn an AA degree plan to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a baccalaureate degree in areas such as education, sociology, history, political science, and music.
Associates of Science
The Science program is designed for students who wish to transfer to four-year colleges or universities to complete a baccalaureate degree in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics. The program concentrates heavily on the natural sciences and mathematics and is recommended for those who plan to continue a Bachelor of Science degree program.
