Robeson County to Honor Fallen Officers at 34th Annual Memorial Service

Lumberton, NC— The Robeson County Executive Law Enforcement Officers’ Association will host its 34th Annual Memorial Service on Friday, May 15, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the A.D. Lewis Auditorium on the campus of Robeson Community College (RCC).

The annual memorial service honors the lives and sacrifices of fallen law enforcement officers who faithfully served their communities. The ceremony serves as a time of remembrance, reflection, and gratitude for those who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The program will begin with welcome remarks from Melissa Singler, President of Robeson Community College, and Damien McLean, Association President and Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy. The invocation and benediction will be delivered by retired Chief Paul McDowell, Chaplain and RCC Board of Trustee.

Ceremonial honors will include the Presentation of Colors by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, the National Anthem and TAPS performed by the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office, and a traditional 21 Gun Salute presented by the Honor Guard.

A special congressional video message will be provided by Congressman Mark Harris. The guest speaker for the ceremony will be Bryan House, Director of Alcohol Law Enforcement.

Additional highlights of the service will include the Reading of the End of Watch Honoree by Matt Dimery, Association Vice President and Director of Law Enforcement Programs at RCC and a bagpipe tribute performed by Tobias Epps of the Fayetteville City Fire Dept.

The Robeson County Executive Law Enforcement Officers’ Association invites community members, public officials, law enforcement personnel, and families to attend this meaningful event as Robeson County comes together to honor and remember its fallen heroes.
