RCC Diamond Eagles Stay Undefeated with Two Wins at JUCO Jamboree

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE                                                                     October 9, 2025

LUMBERTON, NC – The Robeson Community College Diamond Eagles continued their impressive fall campaign last weekend, securing two hard-fought victories at the annual JUCO Jamboree in Mt. Olive, North Carolina. Facing strong competition from across the region, the Eagles demonstrated grit, focus, and growing team chemistry as they returned home undefeated.

The first matchup of the day set the tone for success, with the Eagles defeating the Fayetteville Tech Trojans 5-1. Dominant pitching and steady defense carried the game, as the Eagles held the Trojans to just one run while committing zero errors in the field, a testament to the team’s discipline and preparation. Timely hitting throughout the lineup helped Robeson build and maintain its lead, showing the depth and consistency of its offense.

The Eagles carried that momentum into their second game, taking on the Southeastern Community College Rams in what became an offensive showcase. Robeson struck early and often, securing a 9-4 victory to close out the day. Brett Kutner helped lead the charge, blasting a home run that energized the team and capped off a well-rounded offensive performance. The combined efforts of the pitching staff, defense, and hitting lineup highlighted the balance that has defined the Diamond Eagle’s early season success.

With confidence high and momentum on their side, the Eagles now turn their attention to the week ahead, where they’ll take on two more opponents in back-to-back contests. On Thursday at 3:00 p.m., the team will travel to Aiken, South Carolina, to face the USC Aiken in what promises to be another competitive test. Then on Friday at 3:00 p.m., the Eagles return home to host Southeastern Community College in a much-anticipated rematch.

Friday’s game will mark just the second home appearance of the season for the Diamond Eagles, providing a great opportunity for the local community to come out and support their team. Fans can expect an exciting afternoon of baseball as the Eagles look to extend their winning streak and continue building on their early-season success.

The Diamond Eagles baseball program, in its inaugural year, continues to make waves in the region with strong performances and a commitment to excellence on and off the field. Under the guidance of the coaching staff, the team has quickly developed a reputation for hard work, sportsmanship, and competitive spirit — traits that reflect the pride and determination of Robeson Community College and the surrounding community.
