Honors Day Trip Fall 2018: Fayetteville, NC

Short but good! Honors took the afternoon off and hopped on the highway to Defy! Gravity in Fayetteville, NC. A vigorous and fun workout included balancing, trampoline bouncing, climbing, and ended with a game of dodgeball. Can you blame us for being hungry? We piled back into the van and drove across the street to Ramen Tsubaki, quite possibly the best place for authentic and homemade ramen.

Time for a break! Honors hit I-95N for a day in the capital city. First on the agenda was rock climbing at Triangle Rock Club. After getting loads of fun exercise, everyone was hungry, so we got lunch at Neomonde, a Lebanese restaurant with fantastic Mediterranean food. Later, we headed to NCSU for a transfer session and campus tour before an amazing dinner at So*Ca.

Visited the awe-inspiring Martin Luther King, Jr. National Historic Site and strolled through parts of Sweet Auburn. Also on the schedule: World of Coca-Cola! Got caught in a rainstorm and had to take a quick metro ride back to the hotel before dinner at a swanky Sushi restaurant.
NCHA Conference 2015: Asheville, NC

The conference to attend when you’re an Honors student in NC! We traveled to beautiful, cool, and very laid-back Asheville and caught some mountain and city views before strolling through the Goombay Festival. The conference, hosted by our friends at UNC Asheville, kicked off with a delicious dinner and ended with students presenting solutions to a real-world problem.
Honors Trip Spring 2015: Washington, DC

Headed north on I-95 until we reached the capital. Culinary explorers, we traveled the city day and night, on foot and by metro, enjoying Ethiopian, Chinese, and Indian cuisine. Soaked up even more culture at art museums, the National Mall, and in Georgetown, with the occasional cupcake break.
