It’s no trick: Spooktacular Halloween events scheduled at RCC

Halloween is fast approaching, and students, faculty, and staff at Robeson Community College are busy making costumes, buying candy and treats, and getting ready to hang decorations to celebrate the holiday.

 

Halloween Spirit Week: October 24 – October 28

Next week, October 24 – October 28 has been dubbed Halloween Spirit Week by the Student Government Association. Students, as well as faculty and staff, are asked to dress in various attire to help celebrate the themes of each day.

October 24 is ‘Marvel Monday’ meaning you should arrive to RCC dressed up in your favorite Marvel Movie Character.

October 25 is ‘Wild West Tuesday’ and the campus community is asked to pull out the boots and flannel and show off their favorite Western look.

October 26 is ‘Disney Wednesday’ and SGA hopes to see many students, faculty, and staff dressed up as their favorite Disney character.

October 27 is ‘Throw Back Thursday’ and will be a blast from the past, as students, faculty and staff take everyone back to the style’s of the 70’s, 80’s, or 90’s. It’s up to you which decade you chose.

October 28 is ‘Black out Friday’ – just wear all black, but you can throw in some orange, purple, and/or green.

Drive Thru Trick or Treat: October 27

SGA will also sponsor its annual Drive-Thru Trick or Treat Celebration on October 27 from 6pm – 8pm at the main campus in Lumberton. The event will take place by Building 13, visitors should look for the directional signs for how to proceed in the drive-thru. The event is free and open to the public. 

 

Halloween Carnival: October 29

Last, but not least, students enrolled in the the RCC Early College will host a Halloween Carnival on Saturday, October 29 from 5pm – 9pm. The event will take place in Building 13, the Student Center and will feature carnival games, a maze, trick or treating, food, drinks, and much more, including arts and crafts. Proceeds support The RobCoBots, Team 6729. Ticket Bundle Prices are as follows: 20 tickets for $15, 40 tickets for $25, or 60 tickets for $30. Individual tickets are just $1 each.
