Respiratory Therapy Clinical Requirements
Respiratory Therapy is an application profession that provides individual/client centered care. Clinical experiences provide students the opportunity to train and interact with professional members of the health care team.
Students will rotate in each of the following areas: general care, diagnostics, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, home health care, sleep lab, intensive care, pediatric intensive care and neonatal intensive care. Clinical rotations are scheduled to include a minimum of 8 to 12 hour shifts. which will include starting times as early as 6 a.m. and evening hours. By completing all the clinical hours denoted in the clinical rotation schedule, students will be able to meet program outcomes and competencies.
