RCC’s Slam Dunk Registration starts March 1

Make a slam dunk at Robeson Community College during RCC Madness in March. The tip-off for Slam Dunk Registration will begin on March 1. Register for classes leading to a degree with 8-week classes which begin March 13 or summer classes that start May 22.

Registration is also available for short-term training programs through continuing education and workforce development and free adult education courses through Career and College Readiness.

To celebrate, door prizes will be given away, Rock 103 will be on jamming live on campus from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

“It’s time to get back in the game,” stated RCC President Melissa Singler. “Don’t miss out on this exciting time to earn a degree. With all the available resources, there’s never been a better time to get a degree or gain a post-secondary credential.”

Not sure what’s available at RCC?

You can obtain your high school diploma, learn English for free through ESL, build stackable credentials in programs such as truck driving, phlebotomy, CPR, EMT, fire and rescue, or effective teacher training, or get started on an associate degree, diploma, or certificate.

Robeson Community College also offers over 80 programs of study including Basic Law Enforcement, Cybersecurity, Mechatronics, College Transfer, Welding, Accounting, Medical Office, Early Childhood Education, and more.

“I hope to see record-setting attendance,” Singler said. “Please come out to RCC, and talk with our admissions officers, counselors, and advisor who will help you get on the road to success.”

“Everyone’s path is different,” Singler adds. “Your path might take you through short-term training and for someone else, the right path might be through our university transfer program… we will help you figure it out, but you have to take that first step. Make a phone call, send an email, or visit our offices, we would love to assist.”

UNC Basketball Coach Dean E. Smith once said, “When you make a basket, you point to the player who threw the pass. That applies to not just basketball, but everything we do. No one makes it through life without lots of assists.”

“We have all needed some ‘assists’ in life and we will be here to help our students in every way possible,” said Singler. “We want to see every student that comes through our doors make a slam dunk at Robeson Community College and experience nothing but net.”

Assists’ will be available from our dedicated referees in admissions and financial aid offices at the college from 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., Monday thru Thursday, and 8:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on Friday. The Admissions Office is located in Building 13 on the main campus in Lumberton and can be reached at 910-272-3342 or admissions@robeson.edu.

The basketball-themed registration ‘RCC Madness’ will be paired with other activities throughout the month, so stay tuned for more opportunities to shoot some hoops and score some points towards your future at Robeson Community College.
