The Associate in Science degree is designed for students who want to pursue a four-year degree in areas of study such as computer science, engineering, mathematics, the sciences or professional programs that require strong mathematics and science backgrounds.
You will find the mathematics and science faculty at Robeson Community College to be competent instructors who provide a rigorous yet rewarding learning experience for our students. The department faculty participate in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) initiatives that have been or is currently funded by federal agencies such as the National Science Foundation (NSF), National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), National Institutes of Health (NIH) and Department of Education. Additionally, through engagement with university transfer programs and collaboration with faculty at 4-year universities, RCC endeavors to position its students for successful completion of a bachelor and/or graduate degree in a STEM discipline.
