Library Instruction

The RCC Library team is available to offer quality library instruction for you and your students.  Staff members are available to offer general library orientation sessions or custom library instruction.

General library orientation teaches basic library skills, how to locate library materials using online catalogs, effective Internet search strategies, and how to access and search NC Live and other databases. Custom library instruction focuses on the resources necessary to complete a particular assignment that students have been assigned in an RCC course.

You may request to schedule a general library orientation or a custom library instruction session by using the LibCal feature for booking the instruction lab.

Located off of the library’s main floor, the computer instructional lab boasts 22 all-in-one desktop computers with 17″ monitors, classroom management software, sleek work areas, and a digital SMARTboard.
