Career and College Promise Open House to be held August 10

Robeson Community College invites all Robeson County high school students and their parents, including those who are homeschooled, to an open house on August 10, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. to learn more about the career and college promise program.

“Students and parents can learn more about the opportunities available through CCP, the requirements to enroll in classes, and how students can get ahead by earning college credits and industry-recognized credentials for the workforce,” said Patricia Locklear, director of admissions at Robeson Community College. “This is a chance for everyone to get a better understanding of what CCP classes are, to ask questions, and see how high school students in Robeson County become career and college ready upon graduation.”

Classes available through the CCP program include:

  • Air Conditioning, Heating, & Refrigeration
  • Business Administration
  • Certified Production Technician
  • College Transfer
  • Cosmetology
  • Criminal Justice Technology
  • Cyber Security Pathway
  • Early Childhood Associate
  • Electrical Systems Technology
  • EKG
  • Emergency Medical Science
  • Fire Technology
  • Gaming Pathway
  • HVAC
  • Industrial Systems Technology
  • Information Technology
  • Law & Justice
  • Mechatronic Engineering Pathway
  • Medical Assisting
  • Networking Pathway
  • Nurse Aide
  • Pharmacy Tech

“These classes are tuition free, meaning students can earn college credit at no cost each semester at Robeson Community College,” said Locklear. “We encourage all high school students to register for Fall 2021 and to take advantage of this amazing opportunity.”

The CCP open house will be held in the auditorium which is located in Building 14.
