Black History Month Celebration to be Held Today

Robeson Community College and the RCC Early College will celebrate Black History Month today with a special program starting at 10 a.m. in the auditorium located in Building 15.

The program will include a special guest speaker, Robeson County Assistant District Attorney, Mary Jane Richardson. Early college students will then make various presentations related to Black History.

Samirah Love will present famous Black Entrepreneurs contributions through history and KyAsia Roberts and Jaimya Evans will perform a rendition of Stevie Wonder’s “They won’t go when I go.”

Students will also be treated to a dance performance by Rikki and Foxy Ladies, and Christian McArthur will read an excerpt from Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream” speech.
