Associate in Arts (A10100)
Program Description
Coursework within the Associate in Arts degree is designed to strengthen students’ background in the humanities and fine arts area. Students who earn an AA degree plan to transfer to a four-year institution and pursue a baccalaureate degree in areas such as education, sociology, history, political science, and music.
Transfer Institutions
Students earning an Associate in Arts degree from RCC have transferred to one of the sixteen University of North Carolina institutions such as
- East Carolina University
- Fayetteville State University
- North Carolina A&T State University
- NC State University
- UNC Pembroke
- UNC Wilmington
and private institutions such as Campbell University and Methodist University.
Online Degree (A10100DL)
As an additional option for students, the Associate in Arts program is offered as an online degree program. RCC understands its students have busy lives, so students are able to access their course 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Using the college’s learning management system, faculty present lectures and interact with students through discussion forums or online office hours.
To be eligible, students’ placement test scores must place them out of pre-college courses. Interested students should direct questions to the Admissions Office or at ctransfer@robeson.edu .
