9/11 Ceremony planned at Robeson Community College

Robeson Community College will mark the 21st Anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks with a special ceremony on Monday, September 12 from 11am – 12pm. 

The ceremony will feature guest speaker, North Carolina Senator Danny Britt, as well as the Presentation of Colors, a 21-gun salute, and playing of TAPS. The event will take place outdoors in front of the Sammy Cox Law Enforcement Center. 

During the ceremony, a wreath will be placed in front of the Robeson County Executive Law Enforcement Officers’ Association Fallen Officers Memorial, preceded by brief remarks by RCC President Singler. Various representatives from local fire and police departments are expected to be in attendance, with many agencies displaying their emergency vehicles in the parking lot.

The ceremony is open to all students, faculty, staff, and community members. Everyone is invited to attend.
