Frequently Asked Questions
1. What are the qualifications to enter the program?
Students must meet ONE of the following three criteria; first generation (neither parent graduated a four year college), low income (we will need tax information or if you are receiving federal assistance, a form stating how much you receive each month) or disabled (registered with Disability Services located in Building 13). All students that enter the TRIO program must also demonstrate academic need.
2. How long will I stay in the program?
Once accepted, students stay in the program until they have graduated or transferred. If a student has not enrolled in two consecutive semesters they will be removed from the program to allow others the opportunity to join.
3. How do I join?
If you are interested in joining the program, we are located in Building 14, Room 1442B (upstairs). You will need to complete our one page application and will be notified of acceptance within one week.
