Student IDs/Media Center

About the Media Center

The Robeson Community College Media Center is conveniently located in building 14, on the first floor of the A.D. Lewis Auditorium. As part of Learning Resource Services, the Media Center supports teh mission of the college by supporting the audiovisual needs of faculty and staff.

Hours:

Monday - Thursday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Monday & Tuesday: 5:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

ID Hours:

Monday: 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.

*These hours are observed during the fall and spring semesters.
**Changes to these hours will be posted on Campus Cruiser.


Policies and Procedures

  • The Media Center loans materials to faculty and staff only.
  • Faculty can check out materials for students to use. It is the faculty member's responsibility to regulate the use of the materials and ensure its accountability.
  • To check out materials, the faculty or staff member must sign a Media Center check-out card.
  • Faculty and staff checking out materials become personally responsible for its return. Should the materials become lost, stolen or damaged, it should be reported immediately.

Student/Employee IDs

The Media Center produces IDs for both students and employees. Please see the guidelines for each listed below.

1. Student ID Guidelines
    a. All students must have an ID to use library services and to access other functions.
    b. Students must have a copy of their paid registration form to receive an ID. (For
        the current semester only)
    c. ID cards will be valid for two years after the issue date.
    d. A $5.00 charge will apply to cards reprinted to students for lost or stolen cards. Re-
        prints are printed from teh file only. (Fee paid to RCC Business Office and receipt
        shown for proof of payment)

2. Employee ID Guidelines
    a. All full-time RCC employees should receive an ID for library use and for security issues.
    b. Employee ID cards will be valid for 5 years from the issue date.
    c. Part-time employees who wish to use library services should receive a library patron
       card, furnished by the RCC Library.
