Clubs and Organizations

RCC has several clubs and organizations that may be of interest to you as a student. Joining a club or organization will enhance your academic as well as your personal life. A list of current clubs and organizations along with advisor names and contact numbers are listed below.

Phi Theta Kappa
Phi Theta Kappa's mission is two-fold: 1) recognize and encourage academic achievement of two-year college students and 2) provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service andd fellowship programming.

National Technical Honor Society
Students eligible for membership in the Honor Society must be actively enrolled in a certificate, degree or diploma program, excluding college transfer, and must have completed 12 semester hours at Robeson Community College and have a grade point average of 3.25 or higher. This Honor Society is available to part-time and full-time students. Students must be nominated by at least one teaching faculty member.

Student Ambassadors
Student Ambassadors are representatives of Robeson Community College at institutional functions and in recruitment. They also assist with student, civic and cultural activities. The Ambassadors also lead campus tours, participate in student orientation, assist with graduation and represent the college and the RCC Foundation at various events.  Student Ambassadors represent the elite, diversity of RCC’s student body and  are expected to maintain the highest standards of academic honesty and responsible behavior required by Robeson Community College. 

Benefits to being an Ambassador include a monthly stipend, interaction with school, community and industry leaders, as well as developing leadership skills.
Requirements for being an Ambassador are:

  1. Full-time RCC student (12 or more credit hours)
  2. Have earned at least 12 credit hours
  3. GPA 3.0 or higher
  4. Express good oral and written communication skills
