Policies and Procedures
- A RCC ID card or a RCC library card is required to check out materials. Students may obtain an ID from the Media Center in Building 14.
- Public patrons may apply for a RCC library card if they are at least 16 years of age and have a valid North Carolina driver's license or state ID.
- Materials are checked out for a period of 3 weeks. Renewals may be made by visiting the library with the materials or by calling. A maximum of 2 renewals are allowed for each book checked out.
- All checked out materials should be returned to the library or the library book drop located between the flag poles in front of the college.
- If materials are not returned by the due date, a fine of .10 will be charged for each item per day (holidays and weekends are excluded) not to exceed $10.00. For example, if 3 books are overdue for 5 days, each day a .30 fine will be charged for 5 days for a total of $1.50.
- For lost materials, the patron will be charged with replacement costs and a $7.50 processing fee.
- For students to use the open library computer lab, a valid RCC ID is required as well as the completion of the Internet and Computer Network User Policy.
