Office Administration

Career Description

The Office Administration curriculum prepares individuals for positions in administrative support careers. It equips office professionals to respond to the demands of a dynamic computerized workplace.

Students will complete courses designed to develop proficiency in the use of integrated software, oral and written communication, analysis and coordination of office duties and systems, and other support topics. Emphasis is placed on non-technical as well as technical skills.

Career Information

Graduates should qualify for employment in a variety of positions in business, government, and industry. Job classifications range from entry-level to supervisor to middle management.

Program Requirements

The Office Administration  AAS Degree is a 70-credit hour program. There is a basic core of 49 credit hours. The program also consists of 15 general education credit hours and 6 additional required hours.

An effective administrative assistant will be highly motivated, resilient, self starter who has a strong sense of ethical behavior, ability to work well with others and has effective oral, written and communication skills.
