RCC Nursing Department to offer Summer Camp
The RCC Nursing Department will offer a three-day nursing camp for rising high school juniors and seniors interested in pursuing nursing as a career. The camp is scheduled for June 17 – June 19 on the RCC Campus.
Camp S.C.R.U.B.S. (Students Can Reach Upward, Beyond the Stars) will provide students the opportunity to learn fundamental nursing skills such as blood pressure/pulse and temperature monitoring, learn heart and lung assessment using interactive computer “manikins” and other basic nursing skills.
Applications for the camp can be obtained from area high schools Allied Health instructors. The application deadline is May 15.
