More students, new programs, and new buildings mean increased expenses for staff, classroom equipment and supplies. Immediately, there is a demand for more scholarships. Now is NOT the time to slow down. Now is the time to give this cause a power boost! Below are just a few reasons why:
- In the 2006-2007 academic year, nearly 25% of the total enrollment received Federal Financial Aid, thus requiring a need for more scholarships.
- Since January 2003, RCC has added many new programs, increasing overall enrollment.
- RCC's enrollment increased by 25% from Spring 2006 to Spring 2007 bringing enrollment to over 7,700 students.
- In recent past, RCC filled their summer session to 100% capacity.
- Textbooks and supplies for the first semester of the Nursing Program cost as much as $1,600. Other programs also have high book costs.
