Early Childhood Faculty

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications — A Masters degree with 18 graduate hours in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Birth-Kindergarten, or a related field from a regionally accredited institution.

Preferred Qualifications — A Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Birth-Kindergarten from a regionally accredited institution, and teaching experience in a community college setting.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Teach classes day and/or evening.
  • Teach online classes as appropriate.
  • Teach off campus as required.
  • Academic advising.
  • Serve on college committees as requested.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Function as a member of the Educational Services Team.
  • Participate in student learning assessments in the Early Childhood Program

SALARY:

$4,312 to $6,234 per month as determined according to RCC's salary scales and applicant's credentials and work experience.

Candidates for the position should complete an RCC Application for Employment and submit a Professional Resume, photocopy of Official Transcripts, three (3) Letters of Reference (must be on RCC forms provided with application), and any other supporting documentation to the Personnel Office. A teaching demonstration is required during the interview process. Candidates may be administered a personality inventory.
