Associate Degree Nursing Program Director

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications — A Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution and a Masters Degree in a related field, two calendar years of full-time employment in clinical nursing practice as a registered nurse, a current unrestricted license as a registered nurse in North Carolina, and at least two years of full-time teaching experience in an approved Associate Degree Nursing Program. Additionally, prior to or within the first three years of employment, preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation must be completed.

Preferred Qualifications — Master of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited institution and previous experience as a director or coordinator of an ADN program and minimum qualifications.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership for all aspects of the ADN Program.
  • Organize program resources for maximum program performance.
  • Assign and delegate duties and responsibilities to faculty and staff.
  • Serve as a liaison with the NCCCS Office, NCBON, and other entities.
  • Monitor program performance and recommend changes, as needed.
  • Function as a member of the Educational Services Team
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

SALARY:

$51,744-$74,808 annually, as determined according to RCC's Salary Plan, applicant’s education and work experience.

A teaching demonstration is required during the interview process. Candidates may be administered a personality inventory.
