Cosmetology Instructor (Part-Time Evening Position)
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications — Diploma in Cosmetology from a regionally accredited institution and a current NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Teacher’s License.
Preferred Qualifications — Diploma in Cosmetology from a regionally accredited institution, a current NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Teacher’s License, and two years teaching experience in a community college setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The incumbent will have the following duties and responsibilities:
- Teach day or evening classes
- Record and maintain accurate student files
- Participate in the academic advising process
- Work effectively with department faculty and administration
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Serve on college committees as required
- Perform other duties as assigned
SALARY:
The salary will be determined in accordance with RCC’s Part-time Faculty Salary Scale.
Salary range: $27.50 – $32.50 per hour

Copies of current NC State Board of Cosmetic Art License and NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Teacher’s License should be submitted with the application. Transcripts are required as part of the application. Statements of course completion, graduation, grades or other similar documentation will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts. If a job offer is extended, official transcripts must be presented before employment begins.
