Cosmetology Instructor
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Diploma in Cosmetology from a regionally accredited institution and a current NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Teacher’s License.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Diploma in Cosmetology from a regionally accredited institution, a current NC State Board of Cosmetic Art Teacher’s License, and two years teaching experience in a community college setting.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The incumbent will have the following duties & responsibilities:
Teach day and evening classes
Implement effective teaching strategies to engage students in class
Record and maintain accurate student files
Participate in Academic Advising
Work effectively with departmental faculty and administration
Work with the program director and departmental faculty to administer appropriate course assessments used to document program and student learning outcomes
Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
Work effectively with public patrons
Serve on college committees
Perform other duties as assigned
SALARY:
This position is on the College's Curriculum Faculty scale: Diploma level. The pay range is $3870 - $5834 per month as determined by RCC’s Salary Classification Plan and applicants’ education and work experience. This is a ten-month position.
