RCC and UNCP BRIDGE Program

Officials from RCC and UNC-Pembroke met on June 16 to refine the RCC/UNC-P Bridge Program for students in the Associate Degree Nursing program.  This program allows RCC students who desire to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing to do so through a closely coordinated curriculum bridge crafted by the nursing faculty at the two institutions.

The Bridge Program is quite detailed, and a “tip of the hat” goes to Mrs. Eva Meekins and Dr. Barbara Synowiez for pulling key stakeholders together to make this program so rich in content and possibilities.  Dr. Cherry Beasley, UNC-P ADN to BSN Coordinator and Ms. Sheila Regan, Assistant Vice-President for College Transfer and Allied Health Programs, also deserve an honorable mention for their role in this program. Dr. Bill Gash, Interim Provost and Associate Vice-Chancellor of Academic Affairs sat in on the meeting as did Dr. Mark Kinlaw, RCC Vice-President for Instruction.
