Adult High School

The Adult High School Diploma program provides eligible students the opportunity of core courses and electives. Instruction is offered as individual programmed learning and is supervised by instructors. All books and other materials are provided to the students free of charge. A graduation ceremony is held in June of each year to celebrate the accomplishment of those students successfully completing all requirements and certified as adult high school graduates. Students must pass the North Carolina Competency Test and complete the traditional high school requirements as follows:

  • English ______ 4 units
  • Mathematics __ 3 units
  • Social Studies _ 4 units
  • Science-______ 3 units
  • Health _______ 1 unit
  • Electives ______5 units
  • Total ______ 20 units

The Adult High School Diploma Program is awarded by Robeson Community College in agreement with the Public Schools of Robeson County. The program is approved by the State Board of Education and meets the requirements for entrance to four-year colleges and other institutions of higher learning.
