Program Requirements

The following are admission requirements to the BLET program:

No Online applications accepted for this program                                                      Must be a US citizen                                                                                              Admission packets can be picked up from the Law Enforcement Building, Bldg 11    Must be a high school graduate or have a GED (No correspondence diplomas accepted)                                                                                                         Must be 20 years of age                                                                                       No felony convictionsMust located in

BLET - Basic Law Enforcement Training.

Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) is designed to give students essential skills required for entry-level employment as law enforcement officers with state, county, or municipal governments, or with private enterprise.

Successful graduates receive a curriculum certificate and are qualified to take certification examinations mandated by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standards Commission and/or the North Carolina Sheriffs’ Education and Training Standards Commission.
